ADAM McGRATH writes & sings folk songs for a living as the lead singer of THE EASTERN. The Lyttelton based band are continually described as NZ’s hardest working band. Their latest album ‘Hope & Wire’ entered the charts at #11, peaked at #2 and reached number #1 on iTunes NZ. The album has gathered 4 stars from the UK’s Q magazine & 5 stars from the NZ Herald. Drawing influence from Patti Smith, Joni Mitchell & P J Harvey, Reb unleashes fistfuls of vocal ammunition reverberating contrasting states of aggressiveness with wistfulness, snarling seduction with wide-eyed elegance, heartache & hope.
