Many many months after four ne'er do wells first congregated in a dank practice space in darkest Newtown, Wellington's tallest band Throw it to the Fire are set to release their debut offering, Crumbs.
Evolving from a polite grind, the band has channeled its grace and drink coupons to create music for enjoyable night time social scenarios and digesting the dank stench of the past. Think sporadic, blazing live shows that rally against the drain of adulthood, while retaining a sense of sophistication and refined bickering.
Recorded within the remote fringes of Upper Hutt, the six featured tracks showcase the band’s sweet vitriol with a polish, serving as a slap in the face for the end of youth. And hopefully an end to pissing around at soundcheck...
Joining the hullabaloo at Bar Medusa will be the The New Brides – bearing whistle-worthy alternariachi, and Force Fields – warm immensity summoned from hibernation.
Sharpy the timekeeper has inside word that the first notes shall ring out bang on 9:30pm. Oh you know it's going to be a special night…
