Mankinds atrocities and accomplishments manifested into a formidable and unforgivably evil expression of Black/Death Metal. Scaphist, inspired by the majestic past of Ancient Iran/Persia and modern extreme music brings in artistic Phrygian & Dissonant atmospheres alongside harshness, speed and aggression with lightning fast kicks, powerful vocal anthems and crushing guitar motifs to create a unique blend of black and death metal mostly unheard of in their clean green home country of New Zealand. Mostly.

SCAPHIST formed as a death metal side project in 2008 by founding members Phil Oli and Harry. After several lineup changes the band aquired Adam on Drums and Wynand on Guitar in late 2009. Rehearsal began early 2010 and a number of shows were played in Auckland, Hamilton & Rotorua. 'MAJESTIC SEAL OF ANTIQUITY' was released for free download March 2011. Dylan as frontman was aquired in the same month. Currently with a stable 5 piece lineup SCAPHIST is performing regular shows. 'SUNSET ACQUISITION' is available in limited print direct via the band

Dead Teach the Living
https://www.facebook.com/DeadTeachtheLivingNZ'fref=ts
Dead Teach the Living are a five piece act based in Auckland looking to create something different in the metal scene. Taking guidance from old school metal, punk and the more obscure side of music they are creating gruelling tracks, loaded with substance. Dead Teach the Living remember two ideas seemingly forgotten in most modern metal; 'there's no need to downtune if the riffs themselves are heavy' and 'melody doesn't have to be sweet'. Their energetic and theatrical live show is a spectacle to behold with a huge effort made to ensure every show is different and exciting.

Dead Teach the Living are currently working on their debut album.
Come have a beer with us after a show :D

We Need a Name
https://www.facebook.com/pages/We-Need-A-Name/265120830211096'fref=ts
Death Metal band from Paeroa, we've been lucky enough to have alot of support from everyone, we wouldn't have come as far as we have without you all! m/
Biography
We Need A Name combines the characteristics of old school Death Metal, along with a few Core elements - due to the varying musical taste in the band.
We Need a Name are all still in school but despite their young ages they demand respect with their skillful playing and dominating stage presence - Not to be missed! Have recently played with NZ Metal Legends 8Foot Sativa.
