The 2010 new years eve throwdown the eastern unleashed at chicks retains its status as one of those mythical evenings where even the stories they make up about it still cant beat what really happened...this year they intend to do it all again this time with lyttelton pal Lindon Puffin and local hero Matt Langley in tow...prime the kegs, get some rest, pack an emergency pack in case and hope for the best because The Eastern intend to do their best to raise not just the roof off of the newly refurbished chicks but most of port chalmers and dunedin also (the earthquake started in lyttelton, just sayin!)...dont be afraid theyll temper the hell raisin with the glass raising and promise to keep singing till the sun rises, the piano breaks or theyre thrown out of port or maybe all three...
