La De Da presents Rising Star FLUME for Three Shows in New Zealand
La De Da is excited to announce the arrival of rising Australian electronic music producer FLUME to New Zealand for his first ever headline tour for three shows this October.
Off the back of a successful sell-out Australian tour and recent album release, Harley Streten aka FLUME will play three shows in Auckland on Wednesday 9 October (Logan Campbell Centre), Dunedin on Friday 11 October (Edgar Centre) and Wellington on Saturday 12 October (James Smith Basement). FLUME last played in New Zealand to full crowds over the summer at the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, Rhythm & Alps, and Rhythm & Vines Festivals.
This tour will be one not to miss, with FLUME bringing his “Infinity Prism” production setup along with him, to include impressive lighting and visual creations as part of his live performance.
FLUME is considered one of the top producers of his generation in Australia, and he clearly became head of the pack with the November 2012 release of his debut self-titled album. “Flume” opened at No. 2,held-off the top spot by One Direction. Earlier this year, the set climbed to No. 1 on the ARIA albums chart and is now Platinum certified in Australia. The LP spawned the gold-certified singles Sleepless and On Top (ft T-Shirt), and the double-platinum certified Holdin On,” (which has just gone Gold in New Zealand) all of which cracked the Triple J radio network’s Hottest 100 poll of 2012.
FLUME has had an impressive rise over the past year, having played his first show only in 2012. Since then, he has played with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and The XX, further growing his fan base around the world. Marked as one to watch, FLUME is receiving praise in all corners of the world from the likes of The Guardian, BBC1 the Line of Best Fit, Fader, CMJ, Pitchfork, XLR8R and the New York Times.
