Making their way from the murky depths of Dunedin, no-gaze duo Astro Children make a much overdue return to Auckland this October and getting folks around these parts reacquainted with their older material (from their debut LP, Lick My Spaceship) and introducing them to tracks from their forthcoming album, set for release later this year through MUZAI Records.
Support the two piece happens to be another two-piece that Wine Cellar/Whammy regulars know, love and maybe got on the piss with many a time - Dad Jokes. Shooting into the 95bFM charts late August, the group are currently touring with PCP Eagles across Australia as we type this - and may have even returned once we've finished setting up this event page.
Specials guests so special that they've not even got a band name yet. We're not even sure what they're putting together either. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's that damn special. What we do know is that separately they've become quite prolific, and in some respects it's a weclome back to the MUZAI fold.
All this for $10 in the comfortable surroundings of The Wine Cellar on K Road. Merchandise will be available. Good times will be mandatory.
