Building on the success of their award-winning show ‘The Explorers Club: Antarctica,’ Auckland alt-folksters Bond Street Bridge are proud to announce a special performance at the Museum of Wellington City & Sea on Thursday 31st October accompanied by a presentation from Radio NZ science journalist Veronika Meduna. Celebrating the release this October of their album of songs recording the incredible stories of Captain Scott, Sir Ernest Shackleton and the Heroic Age of Antarctic exploration, The band will present their unique performance combining original folk songs, spoken-word storytelling, new illustrations and dramatic heritage images. Following sold-out shows at the Auckland and Wellington Fringe Festivals, The Queenstown Winter Festival and the NZ IceFest, Bond Street Bridge bring the show the Dominion Post called ‘a perfect evening of music’ to the home of Wellington’s maritime heritage.
