Winner of the Country Music Best Song for the last two years, as well as album of the year 2012, Delaney Davidson also holds some other strange titles. 3rd place in the Saddest Song Competition in Berlin, winner one-man band Zurich, and the honour of winning an electric blanket for his cat at the age three for his story telling. Part man, part wheel - Delaney Davidson is both wandering minstrel, and travelling salesman.
One hand holds a small brown suitcase - his trade, his ghost orchestra - the other holds his guitar. One foot firmly in the Blues Trash corner of the ring, the other on the road, you could say Delaney sees music as he sees geography, and that although he has certain preferences, in fact all territories are up for grabs. Ireland to Brazil, Mexico to Romania, Russia to USA, Switzerland to New Zealand, all destinations on the ten year (and counting) Solo Tour with which Davidson has turned homelessness into a success of its own.
