Matt Langley recently released his second album 'Virginia Avenue' to widespread acclaim and an APRA Silver Scroll nomination for the song 'Sad Sound Good'. Of debut album 'Featherbones' The NZ Herald has said that “this is as fine a singer-songwriter debut album as you could expect”, and the Sunday Star Times marvelled that “it is one of life’s simple pleasures to hear a voice like this”.
Luckless is the project of songwriter Ivy Rossiter, stretching and sliding through moments of solemnity and brightness, melancholy and optimism, with a voice ranging from a whisper to a howl.
With the release of their debut self-titled album, Luckless has toured throughout New Zealand, bringing their unique melancholy indie-rock to any willing audience. They have supported Mount Eerie (USA) and The Veils, and have been recording a follow-up to their self-titled debut, scheduled for release in mid-2014.
