In November 2012 Southern California’s raucous punk heroes Pennywise announced the return of the band’s original vocalist, Jim Lindberg.

Along with the announcement of the band’s return to their classic lineup of Randy, Byron, Fletcher and Jim, two shows for January 2013 were announced at the legendary Hollywood Palladium, each selling out in a matter of minutes.

Formed in the South Bay of Los Angeles, a neighborhood with a rich punk rock history, Pennywise began in 1988. The band would go on to amass an international following through relentless touring and a melodic high energy sound merging melodic surf punk, blistering hardcore and the classic punk of their youth.

As the original Pennywise lineup continues preparing their first new material in six years for release in 2014, they look forward to their return to New Zealand.
Alkaline Trio formed in 1996 in the Midwest, looking for neither fame nor fortune, but instead working toward a potential future where their music would be meaningful to likeminded and/or disenfranchised people.

Band co-founder Matt Skiba (vocals/guitar), Dan Andriano (vocals/bass) and drummer Derek Grant have established a chemistry together that is uniquely their own. There’s a combustible magic in the room when they perform on stage, when they collaborate in the studio and when they interact with fans at their shows.

Playing music is about moments. A collection of great moments defines an amazing record. An avalanche of powerful moments tumbles into an engaging live show. The moment when band and fan become one and the same, the moment of interaction, is the type of moment that lasts forever. Twenty something years into its pioneering journey, Gainesville, Fla., natives Less Than Jake have had their fair share of moments.

“Twenty years of blood, sweat and beers,” DeMakes says. “It’s been a privilege and a pleasure. We have survived more trends than we can count and have managed, so far, to leave a legacy of music two decades long.”

Formed in 1995, Sommerset created a name for themselves quickly in the New Zealand punk scene and soon conquered Australasia too. Playing a melodic brand of hardcore with strong choruses and quality songwriting the band was sorely missed after disbanding in 2005.
After playing two reunion shows in New Zealand their loyal fans old and new thought this was truly the last of them; but 2014 sees a one off appearance to round off the biggest punk show this decade! So say what you want, this is one not to be missed.
