WEIRD TOGETHER
'Weird Together' is the new studio and live project from Dick Johnson and Nick Dwyer, spurred on by Nick's love of exotic musics and crazy sounds from all far corners of the globe, and Dick's love of taking said sounds and moulding them and sculpting them into solid grooves that make people wanna dance lots.
After years of mainy late night / early morning yeah, let's make some music together, sounds like fun - the boys finally did it, and after a particularly inspirational session with some old Ethiopian Jazz records 'Weird Together' was born.
A couple of years passed - Dick became a cycling champ, and in-between the ADD and off gallivanting round the globe Nick got a bit sidetracked but toward the end of the of 2011 a pact was made, and they decided to go at it proper with the aim of launching a full live show. Teaming up with a wide range of different musical folk who come from all over the world the boys have been busy in the Red Bull Studio's recording Caribbean Steel Pan Orchestras, Burundian Drum Ensembles, Sudanese Vocalists and Ghanian Master Percussionists and that's just the beginning.
Shits gonna get Weird.

BOYCRUSH
Boycrush is the project of Alistair Deverick, also drummer of the Ruby Suns, with a live band comprising multi-instrumentalist Hayden Eastmond-Mein and Ryan McPhun. Boycrush first performed in Madrid while taking part in the Red Bull Music Academy 2011

BRAZILBEAT SOUNDSYSTEM
BrazilBeat Sound System is an electronic band formed in San Fransisco, USA in 2000, and currently based in New Zealand.
Renowned percussionist Nego Beto created the project after playing music on four continents, having toured with dozens of high profile acts including reggae legends The Wailers, and produced Reggae MTV for MTV Brazil.
Together with Californian DJ Mara, the BBSS sound is forged: a dirty mashup of dub, roots, baile-funk, 4x4.
Pulling elements from Brazil, USA and New Zealand, and injecting roots level percussion, BBSS deliver explosive live shows, crammed with heavy bass, drum solos and hard-case MCing.
BBSS tracks have featured on compilations in the USA, Brazil, Japan & New Zealand, and the independently released first album 'Nova' (2008) is available on iTunes worldwide.
BrazilBeat have inflamed festivals including Rhythm & Vines, Homegrown, Splore, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, Soundsplash, Cuba Street Carnival, Parihaka and uni orientations, as well as headlining top venues.
