She’s So Rad are an Auckland based 4 piece band that have been playing live since their debut album release in August 2011. Shoegaze has been their genre of choice when the band has had to be described, however, 2013 brings new sounds and directions for the band. Soon to be released is an E.P. called ‘Last Dance’. This E.P. is a massive sideways leap to disco/boogie territory. Past RBMA attendee Jeremy Toy, producer and multi-instrumentalist for the band has created this E.P. out of love for 80’s boogie music. Tracks have been recorded at his own studio and at the Auckland Red Bull studio.
Following up from the E.P. will be a full length sophomore record. This record will be a big sonic leap forward for the band with the desire to move shoegaze to the dancefloor.
Live, She’s So Rad have toured the U.K. with Ladyhawke and performed nationwide in New Zealand on their own tours and supported U.M.O, Ladyhawke and The Adults.
