A rare live performance by long-running Christchurch garage/psychedelic band The Terminals, supported by Dark Matter and Opposite Sex.
This will be the first Terminals show in Dunedin since 2009 and follows two recent outings in Christchurch. The current lineup features regular members Stephen Cogle (guitar and vocal), Mick Elborado (keyboards), John Chrisstoffels (bass), Peter Stapleton (drums), with Nicole Moffatt (violin) replacing guitarist Brian Crook who now lives in California. Singles and Sundries, an LP compilation of the band’s early singles, is scheduled for release on US label BaDaBing in September. Cogle, Chrisstoffels and Moffatt, along with drummer Michael Daly, are also members of Christchurch band Dark Matter who have a self-titled LP of dark, brooding songs just out on another US label Siltbreeze.
Dunedin post-punk/pop trio Opposite Sex are Lucy Hunter (bass and vocals), Tim Player (drums and vocals) and Reg Norris (guitar). They are currently putting the final touches on their second album with a view to a December release.
