From Melbourne, Australia, dark post-punk band Masses tour New Zealand in October, with support from Disjecta Membra (Official), Fantails and Bonecruncher.
Masses’ members variously describe themselves as “anarcho-post-punk”, “punk for goths” and “goth for punks”. CVLT Nation heralded the group as “100% On Point Post-Punk!”, while others use tags like “deathrock”.
The band’s four-song 7” EP ‘Horde Mentality’ was released on Blow Blood Records (Australia) and Rust and Machine Records (USA) earlier this year, produced by Phill Calvert of The Birthday Party. Wellington DIY distro Zero Style will reissue the EP on tape for the band’s NZ tour.
