Sparkle Kitty are excited to make their first trip out of their home surrounds of Christchurch, and are heading north to the fine city of Wellington to play at the capitals most exiting new venue ‘Moon’ on Saturday October 11th. They will be joined by up and coming Wellington band ‘Big Friendlies’.
Sparkle Kitty formed in 2013 where members came from a diverse range of musical backgrounds to create a dynamic new act producing an ethereal electronic sound. With a diverse range of influences they have created an eclectic live set that has seen them win over fans and take out the 2014 Rdu Roundup competition , and have topped RDU charts with their first 3 singles, Finch, Knuckles, and Venom.
Big Friendlies have been working hard to create their unique brand of twee pop punk and have release a debut ep on bandcamp. Their ep has gained favourable comments from NZ’s fiercest critic Simon Sweetman.
