Wellington's finest is launching his new album 'Introducing Darren Watson' in Auckland! It's his first full-band performance in the city for four years...
On Saturday 8 November Galatos will be the place to be to hear Darren Watson and his band rip through a set of new tunes from his long-awaited new CD.
Watson has had what he describes as an interesting time lately, with his single 'Planet Key' being removed from sale as it reached #5 on the Top 20 NZ Singles Chart, and banned from broadcast, both by order of the Electoral Commission. This led to a lot of high-profile media coverage, including prime-time TV news, and even a editorial in the Sydney Morning Herald! Of course it ultimately led to a legal battle in the High Court to fight for the song's right to exist outside of live performances.
Don't miss your chance to see Darren Watson live in Auckland with his awesome band and a fantastic new album to promote.
If a majority votes for it he may even play the song that dare not speak it's name.
The talented Mr. Greg Fleming will be opening the show with an intimate acoustic set of his fine original tunes.
You really don't want to miss this one Auckland!
