Featuring: Tony Painting and The Power with special guest Brilleaux
Buddy Guy has said on many occasions The brits saved the blues” and brought it to the masses. Now we pay homage to some of those artists who “saved the blues” and helped make it the commercial success it is today.
This show has it all, songs from Gary Moore, Cream and Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Billy Fury, Dr Feelgood, Peter Green, Rory Gallagher and Robin Trower. The show is nicely rounded off with some fantastic original compositions from both bands highlighting further the influence of those who have gone before.
If you are a music fan then this show should not be missed. The fabulous, most groovy Brilleaux are the kings of British Rhythm & Blues in NZ and have recently toured the UK. Their show is a must see non-stop R/B groove fest. Tony Painting and The Power are one of Auckland’s top exponents of blues rock and have a forged a name for blistering guitar solos and rock solid rhythm. Tony has played with or supported a number of music’s elite. Artists include Ozzy Osbourne, Ruby Turner, Robert Plant and UB40.
Both bands are fronted by former U.K citizens who now call New Zealand home.
