Gig Information

The performance arcade live music series presents:

Flo Wilson-
..a composer, performer and vocal artist based in Wellington, New Zealand. A graduate in Sonic Arts at the New Zealand School of Music, her interests in music and art stem from computer music, embodied performance, sound design and immersive installations. She has exhibited work at House of Hedone, Adam Art Gallery and Enjoy Gallery as well as performed new works for the New Zealand School of Dance for the Choreographic Season.

Paul Timings-
A sound artist living in New Zealand. He records and performs experimental and improvised guitar. He gathers field recordings, edits the recordings, and organised the edited recordings as compositions or soundscapes using software and musical programming languages.

Jon He-
Jingyin Jon He (1986, Singapore) is an experimental sound and integrated media artist, and researcher. His artistic focus is driven by the investigation and discovery of new directions in aesthetics. He works within a hybridized culture of art and technology, exploring the frontiers of computational creativity in contemporary sonic and visual arts practices.

Jon is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Sonic Arts and Engineering at Victoria University of Wellington, transversing between antiquity and modern technology to design and develop tools that extends Guqin performance, towards its preservation and analysis. He recently completed his M.F.A. in Music Technology: Interaction, Intelligence & Design with Integrated Media at California Institute of the Arts.

Noel Meek-
A Wellington-based sound artist. In previous works he has been described as using live recorded samples of acoustic and electric instruments with minimal digital manipulation or effects, but using non-traditional tunings and notes pitch shifted by microtonal intervals to build layers of overtones

Kameron Christopher-
...currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Engineering and Computer Science at Victoria University of Wellington. He recently completed his M.F.A Music Technology: Interaction, Intelligence & Design + Integrated Media at California Institute of the Arts, and holds a BM in Music Composition from Berklee College of Music.
