A Re-Union for those that have been supporting House music for the last 10 years with the return of one of our favourite international guests. This will be the Fourth time Little Man Big has played in Auckland
Gavin Belton aka Little Man Big began DJ'ing in early 90's Nottingham as part of Giddy Fruit, a DJ collective putting on club nights and parties and making a name for themselves as part of the vibrant and exciting DiY after-party scene. Gav was soon finding his way round the studio and has now been releasing his own music for over fourteen years. He began by working with Jay Cowley and Steve Walker, members of Nottingham house mainstays To-Ka Project, contributing tracks to their 1998 Don't Cry EP on Viva. Gav also co-wrote several tracks with Jay under the moniker Lo-Motion on Drop Music, Tilted and other labels before combining with Steve Lee, a DJ from legendary free party soundsystem Smokescreen, to form The Littlemen. Together Gav and Steve have racked up over thirty releases on renowned labels such as Amenti, Nightshift, Drop, Lowdown, Tango and their own imprint, Mobile Trax, DJ'ing at gigs all around the world.
Around 2008 Gavin put out his first solo release, as Little Man Big, on Guess Who, before dropping EP's for Aroma, Guesthouse, Flapjack and Mobile Trax as well as remixes for Candy Music, Phobic, and Maracuja.
Last year Gav and Steve celebrated ten years of The Littlemen with an anniversary album, Retro Resources, that featured spanking remixes from some of their favourite producers. Gavin also continues to be heavily involved with the local party scene, promoting and DJ'ing with Smokescreen, as well as continuing to release some of the hottest house music around on Mobile Trax.
