Tyra Hammond released her first solo six-track EP in March. She describes it as a record with a bit of everything that she loves - funk, soul, hip-hop and afro-beat. Released online through band camp and iTunes the nation-wide response has been massively positive with consistent airplay across various radio stations of the first single 'So Good at Being in Trouble'. This track has been number 1 on Auckland stations for weeks. The EP was produced by the prolific Jeremy Toy (She's So Rad, Leonard Charles, ex Opensouls) has an undeniable raw and live feeling. The vocals are powerhouse. We can't wait to hear this voice in the house. Tyra and band members, Jeremy Toy and Chip Matthews playing songs from the EP and more ~ Saturday 20th June.
