A year or so ago, a drunken complaint mumbled into the echo chamber of Whammy Bar at 2am bemoaned the lack of quality live footage of local bands and artists.
This resulted (perhaps regretfully) in the Lumiere Reader throwing wads of cash at me and sending me to follow my friends Girls pissing on girls pissing, Seth Frightening and Shab Orkestra with a camera as they fearsomely and generously travelled from stage to stage around New Zealand.
The film is narrated by Paul Blanchard (Hog Haul Valentine), shot by Joe Hitchcock and edited by Luke McPake (This Night Creeps). Handycam footage comes courtesy of many contributors including Catherine Cumming (GPOGP, Joy Disease), Alexander Knight (GPOGP, Diana Tribute, Shab Orkestra, Joy Disease), Sean Kelly (Seth Frightening), Melinda Jackson (Altham Avenue improvisational flautist) and Anthony Sheehan-Drent (Civil Union).

The film will screen at 7.30pm, followed by sets from Seth Frightening, Wet Nurses of Sodom and the long-awaited international stage debut of Joy Disease.
