Having toured with local singer/songwriter Hera through Iceland, America and Australia last year, Parsons has embarked on an exciting solo career. Joined by fellow-fresh-faces Moses Robbins on bass/vocals and Matt Andrews on drums, ‘Jed Parsons and His Friends‘ have been cultivating their own brand of folk-inspired indie/rock, with influences ranging from Mac Demarco and Unknown Mortal Orchestra to Neil Young and Damien Rice.
In just two months since forming as a band, ‘Jed Parsons & His Friends’ have won the prestigious RDU RoundUp band competition title, played alongside the likes of Dictaphone Blues, Nakey, Jordie Lane (Aus) and French For Rabbits, and headlined shows of their own to full houses. Jed has also completed a semi-successful stage-dive/crowd-surf.
Parsons is hitting the studio in the coming months to work on his debut release.
