One Night Only!
Once upon a time, there was a group of 6 young larakins who would all hang out together at a scummy old flat on New North Rd above a car painters workshop.
They loved to play foozball, handball, eat ice creams, and would get themselves into aall kinds of mischief..
One day, they decided to start a band.
As soon as they struck that first chord, they realised that something magical and unique was oozing outta them speakers... It was a creamer!
Poor You Poor Me was born!!!
Over the next two years they played HEEAPS o MAD shows and some CRAYZEE summer festys, and even scored some premium support shows with Ariel Pink & Deerhoof.
At the end of those 2 years, they recorded an album in a secret underground bunker with local legend Bob Frisbee.
Sadly, two days after the completion of the album, there was a devastating fire in the bunker which destroyed all the master tapes.
The band never played another show and the album was lost forever...
Or so everyone thought...
2 weeks ago, a team of builders working at the site where the bunker formerly lay, discovered a blackened box containing the master tapes which were thought to have been destroyed in the fire of 2013..
The tapes were then brought back to Bob Frisbee, and much to the amazement and relief of the band, he managed to completely salvage the album in all of its glorious entirety.
To celebrate this miraculous discovery, Poor You Poor Me have decided to reunite for ONE NIGHT ONLY and PLAY THE ALBUM IN FULL for a lucky audience at the Wine Cellar on January 31st for the low price of FIVE DOLLARS.
