“You might end up bearing him on your shoulders through the pub onto the street with joy in your heart” (Time Out London).
“Crap music is really universal!” – X-Press Magazine, Perth.
“The kind of music everyone secretly wants to hear at midnight” – The List, Edinburgh.
Tomás Ford’s Crap Music Rave Party is the sensation that has sold out clubs around Australia and Europe, hitting New Zealand for a national tour this June and July.
After the show was an instant hit at the Wellington Fringe this year, Ford returns to share his DJ talents nationwide, as the self-proclaimed “worst DJ in the world”. It’s not just the brilliantly awful music that makes it a killer night; it’s a full-on spectacle including DIY rave video projections, balloons, hardware store disco lights, glowsticks and Tomás’ hyperactive DJ antics.
No good music is allowed. All requests are welcome, so long as they’re crap. Tomás drops the request like the party weapon it isn’t and the audience loses their minds. It’s a ridiculous night out that has become a late night institution at the Edinburgh Fringe and is sure to light up dance floors around New Zealand.
Think 5ive, True Bliss, Purest Form, Russian lesbian sisters, Barry Manilow, skate park dubstep, Britney Spears rapping in an English accent, Peter Andre, 80s movie themes, Limp Bizkit, K'Lee, Savage Garden, Crazy Frog, Gangnam Style. Anything you ask for, so long as it’s crap.
Grab a group of friends, think of a horrible song, and get ready to dance!
