Eyegum Music Collective and San Fran are proud to reveal the latest event in their eclectic series of live events. With a melting-pot of members hailing from Nigeria, South Sudan, South Africa, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, and New Zealand, Weird Together are one of the most exciting acts in the country.
Formed by local dance legends Nick Dwyer and Dick “Magic” Johnson. Weird Together is an diverse mix of influences, ranging from Ethiopian jazz records, contemporary club from Ghana’s streets of Accra as well as dance music from the Caribbean and South America. With 400k+ plays on Spotify as well as hitting NZ#2 US#7 and Global #33 on the Spotify viral charts the group hasn't gone unnoticed, with Weird Together being signed to the Feel Up label of Jillionaire, a member of tastemaking outfit Major Lazer.
LarzRanda and Boycrush are two acts on the rise. With LarzRanda having won the NZ Music Award for Critics Choice award and Boycrush being nominated for it. Randa with their lyrically dense and referential indie rapping and Boycrush with his lowkey electro-pop-bangers. The three acts combined are a stellar collection that is not to be missed.
