The underground sensation of the Wellington Jazz Festival 2016 - Classical Jazz pianist Robert Keeton and contemporary jazz-rock vocalist Nicole Chesterman Kircher formed their duo in September last year - since then they have performed at some prestigious events including the Jazz Club's Xmas function, the 2016 Wellington Jazz Fest, a residency at the St. John's Bar, and private functions at Te Papa - they have developed a style that transcends the usual laid back jazz norm and have been described as Epic Jazz. Their commitment to the truth of the music allows them to fly high with some eclectic standards, Keeton's flair for improvisational Brad Mehldau influenced riffs is a force to be reckoned with.
