Kiwi folk troubadour Monty Bevins will team up with local singer/songwriter Abby Wolfe in Dunedin on Thursday August 18 for an intimate acoustic evening in the billiards room at the prestigious Plato restaurant, cnr Birch and Wharf Streets.
Monty Bevins is on perpetual tour, living on the road performing his effortless blend of folk/roots/soul to communities throughout NZ. Since his support of Melbourne singer/songwriter James Kenyon’s epic 20 date nationwide in April, Monty’s been working on new material and shaping the stories he collects from his wholesome travelling life into songs that he’ll share with us here at Plato.
Abby Wolfe is shaping up to be one of Dunedin’s most promising young singer/songwriters. Born and raised in the city, Wolfe began teaching herself guitar at the age of 15 and has bypassed the pull of university to focus purely on performing and mastering the craft, she’s currently working towards the release of her debut EP.
August 18 will provide a great chance to catch these two talents performing in the beautiful billiards room at Dunedin’s PLATO restaurant, and enable the direct support of two singer/songwriters totally immersed in the pursuit of their passions.
