Gig Information

Meow presents Chesta Hedron (Byron Bay) with support by Terror Of The Deep and Three Rays.

Chesta Hedron draw upon influences from psychedelia, krautrock, 70's Arabian fuzzy pop, Carl Sagan, and tales of vanished civilizations, to form their own energetic and sonic dimension.

Emerging from Byron Bay, Australia, Chesta Hedron is a 2-piece instrumental collaboration between drummer Eli Kalaitzides and ex-Wellington guitarist Matthew Armitage.

The bandís first EP, Infinite Nought was released on the 20th April 2016 and features an array of heavy riffs, dark drones and colourful ebbs and flows.

Having performed their psychedelic jams consistently over the last 2 years between Northern New South Wales and Queensland, Chesta Hedron bring their expressive sonic ritual to New Zealand for a series of shows.

Friday 2nd September Meow Wellington

Support acts:
Terror Of The Deep The band put their own twist on soft rock, 1970s-inspired prog and classic indie guitar melodies to create a beautiful sound that is both familar and new. If they were a fabric we're tipping they'd be corduroy - Noisey - Music by Vice.

Three Rays be shining the synth stomp blues, with a cosmic stream of soul and lashings of psychedelia too. What' Yep. The blues, wrapped in tribal drums, sellotaped with freak show noise guitar, and labelled with pure sine wave synthesis. Featuring Dayle Jellyman, Tyson Smith and Darren Mathiassen.
