It's another magical Silo Sessions gig, showcasing the music of Africa and featuring Ijebu Pleasure Club, and the international phenomenon that is Stimela 'The Gumboot' Musical.
There's also an afternoon of Iwacu to experience, a celebration of the people and culture of Burundi. This includes Intore, a traditional sacred activity that used to be performed only for the King - Intore is also referred to as the “Art and Dance of the Warriors”. Amazina/Ibicuba will also be performed, similar to a “karakia” for Pasifika people, which can also be understood as a traditional or spiritual spoken word. As well as traditional instruments, song, dance, and so much more thanks to ORIKoL.
All Silo Sessions activities will be accompanied by the sweet sounds of street food vendors, the Silo Park Bar and Silo Markets.
Please Note: All Silo Park activities are dependent on good weather, so check the website or Facebook page for any updates.
