Blue Smoke welcomes you to 'The Sunday Sit Down Get Down' serving up music of the highest calibre and soul food of the finest flavor in the early evening.
It always starts at 4pm and the music is always infinitely admirable.
There is a suggested 'Koha' entry for this event of $10 per adult and $5 for students (kids are free). We encourage you to support the musicians and pay what you can afford.
What better way to spend a sunday afternoon than joining The Lucky Lost at the Sit down Get down. From Lyttelton, ‘The Lucky Lost’ present their unique quirky blend of Folk influenced alternative acoustic sounds. Based around the singing/songwriting of Darren Tatom and William Field, the sound is enhanced with vocal, cello and keyboard from Lucinda Whiteley, shimmering electric guitar from Gordon Goodinson and solid rhythm by Jack Cameron on drums and percussion. NZ Musician proclaimed The
Lucky Lost debut self-titled album as ‘a strong set of original songs’.
The band are currently working with Ben Edwards of Lyttelton Records/The Sitting Room in the recording of their second album.
