Hallertau Brewery presents: Stefan Nagler Trio - live at Hallertau, this Sunday, April 30, 1.30pm
Pianist and organist Stefan Nagler (Germany) returns to New Zealand to present his new collaboration project with Tom Dennison (bass) and Hikurangi Schaverien Kaa (drums) (Wellington City Shake-'Em-On-Downers, French for Rabbits).
Stefan cut his teeth in performing and recording two albums with the European Masterclass Big Band under the leadership of Peter Herbolzheimer.
Winner of several awards and scholarships Stefan has performed at various clubs and festivals throughout Europe: Germany, France, Luxemburg, Poland, Switzerland, Denmark, Netherlands and the UK.
In 2007, he first stepped into New Zealand's music scene, joining old hands Sid and Freddy Limbert (The Remarkable Beatroosters, Midge Marsden Band, The Warratahs, The Handsome Giants) for a performance at Le Café Picton.
For the past three years, he's performed with several national and international Bands at various NZ festivals and club gigs up and down the country (Waiheke Island International Jazz Festival, Titirangi Music Festival, Christchurch Cavell Leitch Jazz and Blues Festival).
