Civic Events is thrilled to announce the return of British singer-songwriter Beth Orton. Last on our shores for two sold out performances in 2013, this June will see Beth play three shows across the country in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.
Performing a set that promises to bring life to the classics, Beth will also showcase songs from her latest release ‘Kidsticks’. Released last year, Kidsticks sees Orton exploring and reworking the songwriting process.
With contributions from Chris Taylor (Grizzly Bear), George Lewis Jr (Twin Shadow), Andrew Hung (F*ck Buttons) amongst others, Orton plays almost all of the synth and keyboards on the album with barely an acoustic guitar to be heard.
