On August 11 the Wine Cellar & Whammy will host the fourth edition of Monster Valley’s The Experiment - an interdisciplinary carnival evening that draws together Auckland’s diverse art scene, offering a smorgasbord of experiences. Come to see your favourite band collaborate with video technologies; discover a painter working live on unusual canvases; “lol” and “hmm” at a roving performer or take a seat and engage one on one with spoken word spilling fresh from the poet’s mouth.
Smashing together new, emerging, and established artists across the board, the evening will unfold with visual arts, theatre, film, installation, dance, street art, poetry, multimedia, durational and roving performances, and of course, music and bands. Better than a pick ’n’ mix from your local dairy.
The freaks here at Monster Valley are passionate as hell about connecting creatives and keeping the arts scene more alive than your old mate Frankenstein. The Experiment actively encourages stepping a little to the left, getting a bit cray and generally shaking $#*+ up - because we know that awesomeness lies in strange, wonderful and hard-to-get-to places.
