Groovy surf-infused jazz and folk trio
Brekky Boy offers a piano-driven blend of jazz and folk music composed predominantly about the art of surfing. Mixing harmonic landscapes with complex grooves and minimalist piano melodies, the instrumental trio brings something refreshingly vibrant and contemporary to the jazz genre.
Inspired by artists such as GoGo Penguin, Avishai Cohen and Tigran Hamasyan, the Sydney-based trio have discovered a unique modern trio sound. Their explosive live shows are captivating for both jazz enthusiasts and easy-listeners alike.
2017 saw Brekky Boy kick-start their career with performances internationally in Japan as well as the Queenstown Jazz Festival, New Zealand. They are currently in the studio laying down their debut EP which is set to be released in April 2018.
Presented in association with Seresin.
