Three bands for 10 of your NZ dollars!
The debut of Rope (well, their debut appearance with an actual band name at least). Texan pedal-stomping, layer-filled guitars and a solid, spectacular homegrown rhythm section, Rope combine grandiose crescendos and pysch-infused maelstroms of noise.
Featuring the Auckland debut of Tauranga's Grown Downz, two siblings born on the opposite side of the world fusing fast paced beats and party punk energy into a tornado of sweaty bodies, sweet distortion and good vibes.
Also from Tauranga come Threat.Meet.Protocol, celebrating the release of their fifth(!) album Where Did You Put My Marbles which was released through MUZAI Records last month.
Rounding out the line-up are Repairs. Auckland's newest power-emo-post-pop trio. Emotional outbusts, tight rhythms and wailing guitars combine in a short (but sweet) blink-and-you'll-miss-it set.
