Programme

Follow: Immersive Movement Tours with BodyCartography Project

This one-on-one walking tour activates your senses and encourages deep connections with the surrounding art and architecture. Immediate, personal, physical – this immersive movement tour will transform the way you experience art. Developed and choreographed by Olive Bieringa of BodyCartography Project. Drop in 7pm–11pm, leaves from Info Desk, Level 5

Draw Out Your Inner Monster With Imaginarium

Enter the Imaginarium, answer a few questions, and let our Art Medium draw out your inner monster! Drop in 7pm–11pm, Art Foyer, Level 4

Life and Death Drawing

Join educator and artist Alice Fennessy and a host of ghoulish friends for a casual drop in life drawing session with a dark twist. Drop in 7pm–11pm, exhibition space, Level 4

Curator-led ‘Very Dark Things’ Tour

Join Toi Art intern Rata Holtslag and curator Dr Chelsea Nichols for a fascinating tour of the darker side of Curious Creatures & Marvellous Monsters. From predatory goblins to impotent Minotaurs, they explore the hidden ‘adult’ themes and stories underlying some of these artworks, which are not suitable for children. 7.30pm–8.00pm, leaves from exhibition entrance, Level 4

Womb

Born of psychic siblinghood, dreamlike logic and a deep-seated love of nature, Womb is the musical project of Charlotte Forrester, her twin brother Haz and her sister Georgette. Womb’s cosmic live performances transmute the conventions of lo-fi, dream pop, shoegaze and ambient into an ecstatic expression of their family connection. 8.15pm–9.00, Art Foyer, Level 4

ONONO

Wellington’s best-kept-secret boy band, bringing mysterious witchcraft and wizardry in the form of burnt-sugar-coated pop melodies. The five-piece makes you groove and rock out in the same song – let the wall of sound swallow you whole. 9.30pm-10.30pm, Art Foyer, Level 4
