Listen: Chromatics - Shadow

Portland synth-pop group Chromatics are sharing Twin Peak-esque new single 'Shadow' as their contribution to the ever-fruitful Adult Swim Singles programme. The track will also feature (as an extended version) on the group's upcoming fifth studio album, Dear Tommy, about which bandmember Johnny Jewel had some intriguing thing to say...

"Everyone has a shadow. There is no real difference between ten years ago and ten seconds ago. Your future determines your past. The flame of nostalgia is a tempting black hole to jump into, but I recognise it as a fantasy.

Romance is brave. So is simplicity. Love is a call to war. Why wouldn't you want to respect music? Dear Tommy is the most rebellious record I've made".

No word on when the album is out yet, but in the meantime enjoy 'Shadow' below....
