Video: Average Rap Band - Mother Mary

Average Rap Band, formed by Tom Scott and Lui Tuiasau from the ashes of defunct hip hop group @peace, have started the week by releasing a new video for 'Mother Mary'. The track, which opens their Dandruff Dicky-produced album Stream Of Nonsenseness, floats on Donald Byrd-esque musicianship and lyrically tackles the state of modern society.

Meanwhile, the video goes deep on cultural references (and copyright infringements) featuring footage ranging from The Shining to the The Bachelor and even young Matthew Ridge and Thingee make an appearance - all with Tom and Lui transplanted ingeniously into the clip. The now Melbourne-based pair reckon this is the first in a series that will see one video come out each day this week.
