
Listen: Tiny Ruins And Hamish Kilgour - Hurtling Through
In an ingenious collaboration, Hollie Fullbrook of Tiny Ruins has teamed up with The Clean's Hamish Kilgour to lay down a seven-track EP titled Hurtling Through. The seed for the colab was planted back in 2013 when the pair met in New York and performed a string of shows together, and on the final day they tracked two songs in a basement studio with engineer and producer Gary Olson.
A year later and Fulbrook was back in the States, where Kilgour is based, and the two musicians laid down several more songs. The result is a flourishing EP of folk-based tunes (including two W.B. Yeats poems set to music) with Fullbrook on acoustic and electric guitars, while Kilgour takes up percussion duties. Hurtling Through will see New Zealand release on 27th November, but in the meantime soak up the wonderful title track below...
