U.S. Girls Announce Auckland Show For March

Genre-bending act U.S. Girls is heading to Auckland for one show in early March. The musical moniker of Canadian-based solo artist Meghan Remy, U.S. Girls released her sixth album Half Free on 4AD last year -  a breakthrough record which is certainly a favourite around the UTR office. Here are the details for the show...

Strange News Touring have in fact got some great news - U.S. Girls are coming! The nom-de-plume of Illinois-born, Toronto-based artist Meghan Remy, U.S. Girls have locked in one NZ show only, playing K Road’s favourite hideout Whammy Bar on Monday 7th March.

You might have heard her genre-bending latest album Half Free (4AD) on high rotate on 95bFM over the past few months, or you might have been a super-fan since Remy’s early, raw recordings…Heck, you might not have even heard of U.S. Girls before this very moment. Whoever you are, get ready to get excited, because all reports point to this being a freaking incredible live show.
