Bewitching Wellington trio Mermaidens have unveiled their killer new single 'Under The Mountain II' as they prepare to release their debut album in mid-March. Titled Undergrowth, the forthcoming 8-song record was laid down with James Goldsmith at Blue Barn in Newtown and then handed to Chris Townend for mastering. The new single serves as a wonderful taster of things to come, with dream-like layers of vocals and guitars accompanied by thundering drums that conjure up a otherworldy soundscape. Word has it there is an animated video for 'Under The Mountain II' in the works, but in the meantime soak up the sonics...
