Video: Bic Runga - Close Your Eyes (UTR Premiere)

We've fallen a little bit in love with Bic Runga's new single 'Close Your Eyes', so when offered the opportunity to premiere the accompanying video we grabbed it tight with both hands. The homemade clip focuses mainly on the musician while she works through the dreamy tune, which is the opening song from her forthcoming full-length album of the same name. Speaking about her inspiration for the single Bic said in a note to UTR:

"I wanted to write a song that was a bit like Simon and Garfunkel's 'A Hazy Shade Of Winter', a vocal- harmony folk song that still drives along. I think it has a psychedelic element to it, it's all about love, obsession, God and nature!"

Along with two tracks of new original material, Close Your Eyes will also see Bic covering songs from some of her favourite artists, including Kayne West, The Beach Boys, The Mint Chicks and The Meters. The album is set for release on 18th November, but in the meantime enjoy the video below...
