Video: Alien Weaponry – Urutaa

Teenage heavy metal phenomenon Alien Weaponry have unleashed a new video for their track ‘Urutaa’. Produced by Shihad drummer Tom Larkin, the mid-paced track’s te reo lyrics reference a historical event known as The Burning of the Boyd which occurred in the Bay of Islands in the 1800s.

“The historic incident is used as a metaphor for the misunderstandings between cultures and generations and individuals who torment each other through lack of understanding” said the band of the lyrics. The bilingual band won both the Smokefree Rockquest and Smokefree Pacifica Beats competitions earlier this year.
