Blankets Announces New Zealand Tour For March

Montreal-based researcher and sound artist Sasha Ford aka Blankets has lined up a string of shows on New Zealand soil for next month, including stops at Future City Festival in Hamilton and Lines Of Flight Festival in Dunedin. Ford has been producing music under the Blankets moniker since 2012 and makes use of simple homemade instruments, found cassettes, and field recordings to create "physically immersive and rhythmically sensitive sonic collages recalling harsh noise, experimental electroaccoustics, and early industrial tradition". With a strong emphasis placed on live performance and creating an immersive experience, these will be shows to lock in the diary. Here are the details......
