Clap Clap Riot Announce Album Release Tour + Share New Single

Friday 24th February, 2017 9:00AM

Clap Clap Riot are hitting the road in May to support the release of their third full-length album, Dull Life. Along with announcing the four-date jaunt, the Auckland act have cut loose excellent new single 'Tired Of Getting Old', a country-tinged pop tune that thematically tackles the monotony of everyday life while leaning on a catchy hook and oversized guitars.

The album, which was produced, engineered and mixed by Thomas Healy (Pop Strangers, Tiny Ruins), is slated for release in late April, and the subsequent tour will see the band perform material from the new record along with live favourites from their previous releases. Here are the details...

PRESS RELEASE:

CLAP CLAP RIOT
Announce ‘New Single ‘TIRED OF GETTING OLD’ and Album Release Tour’

Last year Clap Clap Riot teased the release of their third album with the colourful and unhinged track ‘HELP ME’. Fast forward three months and the band are back with another rich offering, details of their new LP and celebratory tour dates.

‘TIRED OF GETTING OLD’ is a song that tackles the monotony of everyday life, highlighted through syrupy keys, oversized guitars, and an obligatory whistle solo. The track is the second piece of evidence off Clap Clap Riot’s forthcoming third album, ‘DULL LIFE', which was produced, engineered and mixed by Thomas Healy (Pop Strangers, Tiny Ruins). The album will see the light of day on April 28, 2017.

To celebrate the release, Clap Clap Riot are heading out on the road this May. They will hit the four main centres of New Zealand after returning from a handful of dates in Australia. The band will showcase new material amongst live favourites from their previous three releases.

With a number of dates on the last tour selling out be sure to get your pre-sales to avoid missing out.
