
Listen To Stomping New Single 'In Cold Blood' From Alt-J
As they inch closer to releasing new record Relaxer, Leeds trio alt-J have let loose brilliant new single 'In Cold Blood'. The catchy cut follows on from lead single '3WW' but sees things cranked up to a more stomping pace, with percussive guitar work and robust horns that are later laced with game-like sonics playing into the binary theme that seems to be tying together the album's singles so far. In a statement the band said of the new tune:
“We started writing ‘In Cold Blood’ in our Leeds days and finished it last year in London ... The brass was recorded at Abbey Road; the keyboards were done on a Casiotone that cost £1.05 on eBay; and no-one is quite sure where the key change came from.”
The new record is out 2nd June via Liberator/Infectious Music, but in the meantime soak up 'In Cold Blood' below (please note, the video contains flashing lights)...
