Kirin J. Callinan Takes Over Cuba In New Video For 'S.A.D'

Thursday 27th April, 2017 10:33AM

Earlier this month Australian treasure Kirin J. Callinan revealed a couple of new tracks, 'Bravado' and 'S.A.D', and now he's raised the stakes with a brilliant video for the latter. Shot in the Republic Of Cuba under the watchful eye of Australian photographer and director Danny Cohen, the clip documents make many magnificent costume changes from Callinan, all with a apt Miami Vice-esque spin, while making the most of a gold microphone and Cuba's stunning backdrops. Speaking of the video, Cohen said in a statement:

"I’d been wanting to shoot Kirin for a while, I knew we could create something really wild and that he’d be down for anything I threw at him. We wanted to explore the potential fine line between smut and art, beauty and vulgar, poser and provocateur. We wanted to explore around the permissions a person can create in society and see which side of those our collaborations would fall into.”

The song is lifted from Callinan's upcoming album Bravado, which will see the light of day on 9th June. Watch the raunchy clip below...
