Live Photos: Hans Zimmer - Spark Arena, Auckland

Legendary composer Hans Zimmer graced Auckland for one special show on Saturday night at the newly re-named Spark Arena (fka Vector Arena). Backed by an expansive and accomplished orchestra which encompassed both local and international artists, Zimmer delivered a raft of well-loved arrangements from films including Crimson Tide, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Man Of Steel, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Interstellar and more before wrapping up with an Inception encore.

Highlights from the evening saw Australian singer Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance join the stage to perform the ‘Gladiator’ theme, and later on Lebo Morake came out to sing The Lion King's 'The Circle Of Life'  with help from daughter.
