Auckland-based label Lowtide have released the debut offering from bedroom producer T.king. The 12 songs encompassed within Heliotrope Horoscope are sample-driven offerings that clock in at an average of a-minute-thirty-and-change each, but work together as a cohesive collage of instrumentals that traverse the percussive ground of jazz, hiphop, and downbeat funk. Speaking of the record, the dusty-fingered producer said the songs were built form "second hand store beats bought with loose change in an orbital auckland suburb".
