Ninth Annual Hamilton Circle Jerk Announced
The circle jerk is a long-standing Hamilton tradition. The (in this case) innocuous term refers to the yearly event which sees artists from the ‘Tron cover other artists from the ‘Tron, both past and present. Germinated by musician Mark Tupuhi, the format of the show dictates that acts cover two other Hamilton artists and then perform one of their original numbers.
The diverse bill for this year includes the stoner/doom stylings of Wolf Wizard, the ferocious post-hardcore of Hedge Fund Trader, the atmospheric rock of DateMonthYear and the bizarre electro-magnetic storm that is Glass Shards. Aforementioned Circle Jerk founder Mark Tupuhi will make an appearance in his band Runt. Looking For Alaska are putting folk on the map for the evening and we’ll say no more about Wink Wink Nudge Nudge.
